Stress can play havoc in most of our lives. If your sex life is taking a back seat even while you are still in your prime then be sure that stress is the main culprit behind it. Stress-related problems are mostly psychological in nature and it often leads to difficulties associated with sexual desire, arousal and orgasm. It has been reported that serious stress associated with work may interfere with our daily routine life and sexual life as well.
One of the negative implications of stress is that when its levels increase, it may lead to impotence or erectile dysfunction. It has been observed by experts in studies that one-third cases of erectile dysfunction are due to stress. So if you've stress then sex takes a backseat and the relationship suffers. In some cases, it can also lead to separation and divorce when stress becomes unbearable for the couple.
There's no specific cause of stress. With increase in work load, job insecurities, cut- throat competition, every working individual undergoes tremendous amount of mental stress and strain, which he or she normally carries from board room to bed room. In fact, the work pressure turns sex into the most insignificant thing in life as it decreases the libido.
The negative impact of stress may be witnessed in the sex life of both men and women. Usually men suffer from lack of sexual desire, poor or no erection and pre-mature ejaculation. In case of women, it leads to lack of sexual desire, irregular menstrual cycle and problem associated with orgasm. If left untreated, stress can also lead to depression, a condition well known for lowering your libido.
Therefore, always try to avoid stress in your life by leading a tension and anxiety free life. I know it's difficult in today's time when life has become so complicated but with proper motivation and will power, you can definitely get rid off it forever.
