Is online business card design the right choice for you?

When do you know if designing a business card online is right for you? Three reasons.
First, if you want a professional and classy business card to represent you and your company. Second, if you do not want to learn an unfamiliar graphics-editing program. And third, if paying a graphic designer is included in your budget.
The dark side of designing your business card yourself.
Then again, you may say that you can design these cards yourself. Take note that creating your own design is not an easy task as it is. Photoshop is pretty overwhelming too. And MS Paint does not begin to compare to the requirements of a professional design.
Besides, you can expect to pay $350-$500 for a quality graphic design program such as Photoshop and QuarkXpress. And if you do not have prior experiences needed, it can take days, weeks and even weeks or months to master the program. All this will definitely result in frustration and a lot of time wasted.
Hiring a graphic designer.
Hiring a graphic designer to create the card for you can be just as frustrating. Oftentimes it can be very expensive too. Set aside a budget of around $300-$5,000 for a complete makeover and fresh business card designs. Printing not included. You will also encounter the weeks and numerous phone calls to the designer to get the design finalized.
But if you have a successful business already and with a high budget to match, this will be the best way to have your business card printed. Not all have this capacity though.
The bottom line to all this is that designing your business card online will save you a lot of time and money. There are existing breakthroughs in web programming that are allowing online providers to offer complete online design for these cards.
Doing it online is the alternative now that many are finding quite helpful in designing their business cards. Just think, you at home and in front of your computer while creating the design that suit you best. No programs to figure out and no designers to follow up every now and then to remind of something you missed.
There are sites providing this service already. All you have to do is find the right one for you. All this with just your computer and an internet connection. No more, no less.
